About Me

Hello there! I'm someone who has always had a bit of a love-hate relationship with reading. While I struggle with it from time to time, managing to finish even a single book in a year feels like an achievement. Despite the challenges, I'm always on the lookout for books that can teach me something new or whisk me away to fantastical worlds.

My reading tastes are quite eclectic, ranging from science fiction and historical fiction to mystery, crime novels, and even manga. Whenever I find the time, I dive into these genres, always eager to explore new stories and perspectives.

If you have any book recommendations or want to chat about a great read, I'd love to hear from you!

Tis the Season for Time Travel: Unwrapping the Festive Fun of'Santa Grint' by Jodi Taylor

"Santa Grint" by Jodi Taylor marks the festive debut of the Time Police series, offering readers a brief but thoroughly entertaining Christmas tale. While it may not fit the traditional mold of a holiday story, it certainly delivers on the seasonal cheer with a unique twist.

At the heart of "Santa Grint" lies a seemingly innocent Christmas party, but as with any adventure in the Time Police universe, danger lurks around every corner. Taylor masterfully blends holiday festivities with the trademark excitement and intrigue of the series, leaving readers eagerly flipping pages to uncover what surprises await.

Unlike the St Mary's Christmas adventures fans may be accustomed to, "Santa Grint" takes on a different tone, standing out as its own distinct offering within Taylor's literary repertoire. A Timeless Delight: Celebrating 'Saving Time' by Jodi Taylor

"Saving Time" by Jodi Taylor, the thrilling third installment in the Time Police series, has solidified its place as my favorite book of the series thus far. From start to finish, I was utterly captivated, and the only downside was the inevitable moment when I reached the end. This book was an absolute delight.

One of the highlights of "Saving Time" is the frequent appearance of beloved characters from the St Mary's series, a delightful reunion that filled me with pure joy. There's something incredibly satisfying about seeing familiar faces pop into the narrative, adding layers of depth and nostalgia to an already rich story world.

Taylor's storytelling prowess shines brilliantly in this book, weaving a complex tapestry of plot twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. The narrative is as unpredictable as ever, leading to moments of uproarious laughter and poignant sadness in …

Timeless Adventures: A Review of 'Hard Time' and The Time Police Series

"Hard Time" by Jodi Taylor is an enthralling addition to the Time Police series and a captivating spin-off from the beloved St Mary's series. Jodi Taylor continues to demonstrate her exceptional storytelling prowess, crafting narratives that effortlessly captivate readers and characters that become cherished favourites over time.

In this second instalment, the series truly comes into its own, building upon the solid foundation established in the debut novel. We embark on exhilarating adventures alongside Team Weird, a group that adds a unique flavour to the disciplined world of the Time Police. While the Time Police operate with a stricter and more regimented approach compared to the spirited historians of St Mary's, the inclusion of the irrepressible Matthew ensures no shortage of mischief as the team navigates their final days as recruits.

Although "Hard Time" can be enjoyed independently, diving into The Chronicles of St Mary's beforehand enriches the experience by …

Tiago Forte: The PARA Method (2023, Atria Books)

Its mostly an updated chapter of Building the Second Brain

Having already read Tiago Forte's first book Building a Second Brain which includes the topic of the PARA method. I feel this book is mostly an updated PARA Method chapter from the previous book which lays out the principles and then tells you to customise it to fit your situation. I believe it is helpful for people who haven't read the previous book but if you have then you are mostly going over old ground.
