SECOND READ: I honestly have no idea what my damage was the first time I read this. It's freaking amazing.

FIRST READ: A mostly enjoyable read, if not the lost classic that Barry Gifford claims in the introduction. The characters are a bit flat and the story really drags at times; nevertheless, Chaze writes with a distinct voice and the ending was darkly surprising. I'm not sorry I read this but I'm also not sorry to be finished.
