David reviewed My Work is Not Yet Done by Thomas Ligotti
Pretty typical Ligotti
3 stars
I have written elsewhere that Ligotti’s progression as a writer goes from one or two fantastic first publications and then spirals downhill. This is definitely part of the spiral.
For the most part I enjoyed the increasingly creepy imagery of the first novella, but the ending left me a little cold and ultimately it felt pointless (maybe that was the point though). The other two stories were unnecessary filler.
No need to read this unless you’re a Ligotti completist.
