I’m a fair chunk in, just passing the Boarding School incident (no details here) and so far I’m really enjoying the novel. It’s probably one of the Coreys’ best.

But as I realise I’m about a third through I also realise - ah crap they’re gonna spend the whole time building up to The Thing, and then skip to the coda again, aren’t they?

Ah well. I’m just gonna enjoy my time with Holden and Amos and Alex. Naomi is barely present in the narrative by comparison. I wonder why.
