Quite a fun urban fantasy novel, that isn't full of teen hormones and romances, of a wizard who helps with some police investigations, and gets a private job, to get caught in the middle of some amateur wizard getting high on dark powers and killing people, nearly dying in the process, to come out on the other side, of course.
