This is a bizarre book to listen to. Only after reading some reviews did I understand the sound effect was the strike through motion for the written words. I just thought my audiobook was faulty and bad quality. I am grateful I did not have to try and read that text.
Also so complicated way of writing, unnecessarily. So many embellishments and metaphors that the actual meaning remained a mystery for most of the time. Also the plot is so so, a time in the future with many people dead and resources sparse. At the same time some people have superpowers. But I am a bit annoyed this turned out to be mostly a romance. Romance in an embellished environment through the words of a 17 year old girl who has a curse to hurt with her touch, until the boy of her dreams appears and is resistant to her powers.. Except for the flirting and love of course. Meh.
