A very insightful book into the mind of a young girl living in hiding during the war due to religion. The times were definitely not easy, but she managed to often look it on the bright side, compared to those with no place to hide. Also a story of her coming of age in a small way,and the internal and external struggles within family and very close quarters. Besides being just her intimate diary, it is cleverly written with so many analytical points I admire her maturity for her age.
