Another example of Iain Banks incredible imagination and carelessness with the lives of his characters.

Also another Culture novel that doesn't really touch on the Culture that much.

If you are a fan already, you'll love it. If you are new to Iain M Banks then if probably start somewhere else.

Another odd sci fi book from the culture series. Though given how disassociated the books are it's hard to call them a series really.

Enjoyable but not one of the best in my opinion. The characters weren't strong and while the story was interesting it jumped around quite a lot.

Almost gave up 60 pages in, glad I persevered

Another example of a Culture book that isn't really about the Culture. Despite my initial reservations I thoroughly enjoyed it. I can't say anything entirely unexpected happened but everything hung together well.
