The Shadow Beyond is a reworked and improved version of Daniel Reiner's first self-published Novel "Where Goeth Nyarlathotep".

The prose is a lot more streamlined. While it looses a bit of the charm of the Lovecraft-like style of the selfpublished version, it is more consistent with his later stories published over a decade later.

It is still though one of my most favorite novels in the Cthulhu mythos. I'm hopeful that with the professional publishing deal more people will find Reiner's work.
