I forced myself to get through the terrible prose so that I could find out what's going to happen on the show! It's a great story, but if you're not used to fantasy/sci-fi novels (I have a very low tolerance for "genre fiction"), the writing style can be extremely irritating. It's worth slogging through for the storytelling, though, which is excellent. I am literally going to start the next book tonight -- I can't wait to find out what happens next!
