Review of 'The heir' on 'Goodreads'

Awwww! I didn't know how much I missed the selection series until I started to read this book. The selection is a terrible thing (who enters really for the person? They all want the crown!) HOWEVER I'm totally in love with this series!

It is so cute! Easy to read! And once started you cannot stop. So many funny moments! And so many sweet ones!

Actually this book takes place 20 years after the last one in the series. So if you haven't read the first books, it's no problem. Of course you will have a few spoilers but it's not necessary to know the background.

I like Eadlyn! She's a strong, self confident person who will soon be queen and is perfectly prepared. Since she's living in the palace her whole life, she's also spoiled which is not bothering but funny. How easily she gets shocked!

So, we have a lot of young men. I couldn't choose! Especially two men found the way in my heart and I guess in Eadlyn's too. Let's see what the next book brings.

Only small aspect where I was a bit disappointed is that I couldn't see the America and the Maxon from the previous books. They are now "Mom and Dad" - like stereotypical parents which are complete strangers to the reader. A pity!
