This book has everything: poetry! Queen Victoria! Mathematics! Adventure! Appendices of historical documents! Hijinks! Detailed explanatory footnotes! Philosophy! Puns! Computer science! Jokes about detailed explanatory footnotes!

It took a while to finish (for a graphic novel) because portions are dense, but this is undeniably my favourite alternative history that I have read... Ever. I strongly recommend this to anyone who enjoys history, logic, programming, poetry, economics, humour, and especially all of the above tossed into a steam-powered blender.
