Review of 'In the Cities of Coin and Spice' on 'Goodreads'

Baroque, terrible, wonderful, awesome, and amazing. Disjointed stories assemble, gradually, into a sprawling masterpiece. Incredible images assemble from brilliantly coloured threads until an entire tapestry is complete.

Not for the faint of heart nor the casual browser, this tome completes the saga begun in In The Night Garden. It is obscure and challenging - at times nesting narrative within narrative until stories loop back on themselves - but ultimately the thousand fractured pieces are assembled into an incredible mosaic.
