Not dreadful but definitely not for me

The first three quarters is this book were really rough. The world is different enough that I wanted to know more but never focused on the setting. Worse, the characters and their interactions felt dull and forced for most of the book. There were a few decent scenes towards the end, but this were more the exception to the rule.
