This has amazing reviews by so many but I'm 40% of the way through and find the writing style so grating. Probably I'm wrong. It reads like fiction and I don't read a lot of that, so what do I know?

I read this book because I think you should always challenge your positions. If you're reading books where you agree with everything you are reading the wrong books. While I do not agree with everything in the authors position I did change my position on some things and it gave me a lot to consider around my own privileged position, the challenge with activists not correctly advocating for those most in need within the communities they represent and the sometimes conflicting positions or needs of culture and science

This was a crazy read. I thought satanic panic was a hype with ultimately no convictions but then from this book I learned peoples lives really were ruined. You ask yourself how this could have happened, how people were on-board with such outlandish tales but you can see in the book how.
