Very enlightening, clearly lays out the benefits and pitfalls of farming and our current diets with numerous studies to back it up. Has some good real world examples to prevent it becoming dry.
It's the first book I have read by George Monbiot and I am pleasantly surprised. Sections on the UK press like to paint him as some mad dangerous radical and often his quotes are taken out of context.
Actually the book is eminently sensible and well researched with some very promising and thought provoking ideas.
