A satire that spoofs philosophical debates of [a:Voltaire|11619|Voltaire|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1185682085p2/11619.jpg]'s time -- particularly [a:Leibniz|1340566|Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1207380481p2/1340566.jpg], but lots of other ideas then in vogue come under attack as well. As a story outside of this satirical purpose it doesn't have a whole lot to recommend it, but it is clever and funny and barbed where it needs to be.
