Pretty cute Young Adult book about the bod with a 17-year-old boy and is dog Cracker, during Viet Nam. I didn't figure that the book was going to go in to a lot of war detail, since the book was mostly about the bond between Rick, and Cracker, but it was still pretty good.
I sometimes thought that the author gave Cracker super human thought processes, but I got over it, since it wasn't exactly a book for adults.
All in all, a fun cute read.
