Excellent, although somewhat dated tale. Urban micro-dystopian story concentrating on a single apt. building and briefly mentioning it's immediate surroundings. There are obvious references to what seems like suburban England and the story alludes to some of the themes seen elsewhere in BallardWorld. Main character is not really sympathetic, but is no worse than the others. There was a film at some point which I can recommend.
