Jesus, this is depressing stuff. And not just depressing because of the story, but also because of the true elements that this is built from. And depressing because so much of that nexus of money, fear, and violence is still intact.

But the craftsmanship is fantastic. I can't recommend this highly enough for fans of noir, film, or just fans of Brubaker & Phillips.
