Well, it was not what I thought it would be, but it was the book I needed. It allowed me to grow tolerant and understanding of Dani/Jada. You learn a bit more about The Nine... Mac does something I did not expect and actually color coordinates an outfit. (Oh. Nostalgia.) Some sh*t goes down as it often does and we FINALLY get to addressing my dearest Christian.

Some people found Mac to be annoying, I can understand that, but from the reviews I read, I expected Pink Mac back in full, sugary, naiive and absolutely aggravating form with several color-coordinated outfits, to boot. What I got was a Mac who spent the entire part of the book conflicted. Her inability to make a decision is understandable considering she is housing the Sinsar Dubh and has no idea what to do with it, about it, to it. She also spent a portion of the book undetected which I think was a great way for Mac to still be dealing with the Sinsar Dubh but NOT constantly remind us of what she was (not) dealing with.

All in all, I enjoyed the read, it went by too fast. But I am definitely looking foward to the next one.
