The beginning got me quickly so I raced through the book. The world being built is interesting but I suspected the big plot twist pretty early on and then it was more about finding out when it would happen. Also not a big fan of some of the tropes. Definitely worth checking out but not on my favorites list. Will continue reading though.

While not the best book I’ve ever read it is sticking with me and I cannot wait for the second book to release. Very fun light fantasy read
