My copy of this book is completely fallen apart through being read and re-read countless times in childhood, I had to take a star off for the heartbreak I received when I found out about the author's personal views

Very interesting background surrounding a wide number of topics in the sciences and mathematics, each framed using a key equation from that area. Stewart's insight is incredibly interesting and adds a lot. The chapter on the Normal Distribution did drag quite a bit, though.
