It's such a beautiful story, I wish I had read this when I was younger as it would surely have been formative

Very interesting background surrounding a wide number of topics in the sciences and mathematics, each framed using a key equation from that area. Stewart's insight is incredibly interesting and adds a lot. The chapter on the Normal Distribution did drag quite a bit, though.
