»The edible complex.« For the basic idea (i think, it is hard to filter any meaning out of this) of trying to deconstruct gender and sex, there surely is a lot of talk about mother fucking. The phrase was of course »Oedipal complex«, i just didn’t hear it right the first time.
People called this »academic«. Meh. This is so not like, say, a biology paper. Surely there i will not get the detail, but i will get some basic idea about what the author is trying to show. Not here. No clear hypothesis, just prattling on from start to finish. The style here is not »dense«, as it has been cald. If it were dense, this would be hav been reduced to something like ten pages. What TF is »dense« in »the culturally contradictory enterprise of the mechanism of repression is prohibitive and generative at once«? What does that even mean? Does it mean anithing? Sorry, i wil stay with natural philosophy from now on.
I really should start reading the blurps before buying books. Had i red »psychoanalysis«, i surely would hav skipt this.
