The original 1602 miniseries was fresh and interesting, but the following ones have all been disappointments. Perhaps this is due to the lack of Neil Gaiman's involvement; subsequent writers don't seem to know what to do with the characters. This particular series seemed particularly pointless. Characterization was slight, not much happens until issue 4, and the resolution was limp.
