HAWKEN is an online PC game about giant robot combat, but this prequel comic is about industrial espionage and corporate maneuvering. The artwork was very inconsistent from issue to issue and there were ugly chunks of info dump-style exposition spaced throughout the book. Existing fans of the game might appreciate the backstory, but there wasn't much in the comic to inspire neophytes to examine the game further. That is, unless, you count the cool mechs concept art in the back of the book, which served as an irritating reminder of the robot action the comic failed to deliver.
