Started off pretty decent, got REALLY dull following military marches and banquets, and then got a bit better at the end. The book ended on a slight Ciri-related cliffhanger, and Geralt seems mostly out of the story now (which is odd, considering that the series is seemingly named for him).

More short stories. Again, not bad, but not great. At least they seem slightly more related to each other this time. I'm a bit surprised that the series seems to be almost as much about Ciri as Geralt, considering that she only got pulled into the story on the last game of the series.

I have no idea what's going on anymore. I honestly can't tell if some of the characters in this book are new, or if they're from 5000 pages ago and I just don't remember them.

Slightly predictable near the end, but still a good book. I just wish that the Wax & Wayne books were a little longer, since they end too soon. Looking forward to the sequel in a year or two.

Steven Erikson: The Bonehunters (2019, Tor Books)

The book got off to a slow start, got good in the middle, then lagged off at the end. It also eventually managed to tie Book #5 into the rest of the series (sort of). The series is okay so far. Way too nerdy for 90% of readers though.

Bernard Cornwell: Warriors of the storm (2015, HarperCollins Publishers)

Uhtred kicks butt, calls people turds, and saves the day. But now he's getting old, so other characters help him do this a little more. Nothing has changed in this book series. It's still good.

Gardner Dozois, George R. R. Martin: Dangerous Women (2013, HarperCollins Publishers)

Review of 'Dangerous Women' on 'Goodreads'

A few of the stories were pretty good. In particular, the ones by more well-known authors like Abercrombie, Sanderson, Butcher, and Sykes stood out as some of the best.

Lev Grossman's story was lifted almost verbatim from one of his "Magicians" books. Lame.

The historical fiction stories about boring queens were universally bad.

The "Wild Cards" story was really good. Eventually, I need to start reading some of those books.

The George RR Martin novella that told the story of The Dance of Dragons could've been good, but was written in about the most boring way possible. It was like reading a history book.
