To me it's half as magical as the movie. The end is quite abrupt. Maybe I would have liked it more as a child but since I grew up with the movie, it'll always be in my heart.
I quite liked how Miss Honey described the effect of being in an abusive situation though and think it's an important thing for children to hear.
