Micah Goodman: Catch-67: The Left, the Right, and the Legacy of the Six-Day War (2018)

A rarity: nuanced and thoughtful discussion

It's increasingly difficult to find writers willing to engage "both sides" of any issue. Even fewer do so by pointing out that each side talks past each other - not actually about the same issue.

Although this book is focused on Israel and the problems therein after 1967, it can be applied to many political groups all over the world. People finding identity in political beliefs rather than the other way around. Believing that not only is my way right, but my way is the moral way, therefore whoever disagrees with me is immoral, and therefore evil.

I highly recommend this book.
