First 2/3 of the book was a solid 4-4.5 stars, laughed out loud several times and was really enjoying the story. Then the author went all PSA for mental health, trying to "educate" using one of the MC's and almost ruined the book for me. Dear god why do laymen feel qualified to speak on issues for which they have no professional training and insist on cramming these "lectures" into genre fiction?
Tough to review this one...writing had many errors and the story itself had some timeline inconsistencies and plot holes. Not as good as previous installments in the series. I forgave a lot to finish this book. Any other author or a series I wasn't invested in would probably have been a dnf.
