If this book was strictly about John D. Rockefeller, it would be great. Unfortunately, Chernow spends considerable time on a variety of Rockefeller-adjacent topics, especially Rockefeller's son. The book should be shorter by around 20% if Chernow was solely focused on the advertised topic.
