I’m a bit disappointed.
In 2022 there’s no excuse to invest 365 days worth of only reading white authors.
I encourage you to examine your recent reads. Are any of those #authors in different communities than you?
Different race, nationality, ethnicity?
Different gender? Different sexual orientation?
Are any #neurodivergent? Any with a #disability?
No?
Plan to do better in 2023.

The other day I found a new book to read from browsing Mastodon. I enjoyed this book immensely so I have to share the love! The Name-Bearer by Natalia Hernandez is absolutely incredible, with a depth of worldbuilding that carried me away, & the lore! Wow! And the variety of diversity showcased naturally in this story: also amazing. I can't wait to read more.
