Why this book is called "What lives in the woods" is beyond me - the woods are only marginally involved, if at all. Most of the time the story takes place inside the manor... I'd say this book was rather average: not bad, but also not exceptionally good, and the explanation for the haunting and the ending of the book were rather obvious, imho.
