T. Kingfisher writes another tale of youthful quest for the magical. This isn't one of her best efforts, but it's a read. Apparently her publisher refused to put it out as a children's book, and she can't see why. Well, maybe it's because it's about a twelve year old boy learning how to kill people; a minor psychopath perhaps.
