Wow what a great story! It really had me hooked from the beginning. I loved the premise and storytelling in this. In fact, I liked the unique story so much, that I found the romance storyline to be a bit distracting. I came into this for the queer romance but ended up loving everything else about it. Side note, I listened to the audiobook with an afterword from the author and I found his explanation for why he wanted to write the book to be really charming.
