Unlike readers who sought out this book, I do not care much about the film classic THE SOUND OF MUSIC. This was one of a handful of books available in an isolated town. Even a non-fan can enjoy this as an informative and heartfelt autobiographical book about the family from a daughter's perspective. Her account of the famous Von Trapp family differs greatly from that of her stepmother and those in pop culture. A good read.
