This story by @nlowell@zirk.us is simply delightful. I haven't finished a book so quickly in ages, and stayed up past my bedtime to get to the end. I found the story and pacing much like Roger finds his butler duties: satisfying and relaxing, like enjoying a hot cup of fresh coffee in the morning. The ending feels just right. Adding this book to my "cozy go-tos" list and I look forward to enjoying the story again and again. Additionally, Tom Taylorson does a fantastic job of performing the story, distinguishing the character voices expertly, and matching the pacing of the story itself.

Kendra Adachi, Emily P. Freeman: The Lazy Genius Way (Paperback, 2021, WaterBrook Press, WaterBrook) 4 stars

...but I got more out of it than I expected. Author is a white, hetero, Christian Stay-at-Home Mom and I fully expected to DNF this book because I wouldn't find any thing relevant. But, I finished my library checkout and I plan to buy the ebook. No it isn't all useful for me, and it does get a little preachy towards the end. But I found that a lot of it resonated with me. I'm already implementing a meal matrix and I'm taking her tips on ways to rest to heart. "You don't know how to rest" is the line that really hit home for me.

In the early eighteenth century a number of the great pirate captains joined forces, including …

(Audiobook) Narrator did a fantastic job, making for a very engaging book. Very informative. Book focused on the better known pirates, like Blackbeard. Would have liked more details on the female pirates of the time, rather than just squeezing them into the epilogue as an afterthought.
