I'm not one to typically read manga, though I can appreciate the medium in the same way I appreciate comic books (of which I must admit to only reading a handful cover to cover). The format lends itself well to those who benefit from visual aid, combining images with simple explanations to teach the basic concepts. It is definitely not a reference book nor a complete guide to databases, which might leave some readers feeling as if things were glossed over, rushed or incomplete, but it should prove helpful for those who might be struggling to visualize database concepts.
