i can't really call this book good. it's basically "what if there were Really Big Humans, but they were really clumsy, so they had to work with Really Small Humans to get anything done?" There's a whole thing about how the dinosaurs are creative and the ants are completely uncreative, but those are mostly informed traits. there's also some kind of political commentary going on but i'm not sure it really makes sense. the exploration of military deterrence in this book pales in comparison to the one in the 3 body trilogy.

that said, i DID have a blast reading it. c'mon. it's got talking dinosaurs!
