There is no official English translation of this work unfortunately. All that exists is a machine translation of the Czech version that was then (poorly) edited anonymously and uploaded on the internet archive. As a result, probably nothing other than narrative and concept remains. Yefremov applies the dialectical materialist method when writing his future society, although still at times leaning towards preservation when imagining their sublation ("the boys and girls"!). Conceptually, it's an interesting and important work of science fiction. Man, I really wish I could read Russian!
