I am really actually loving this series and the politics that the Bobs all seem to have to rise above but sometimes not in the manner that is needed. I like that he does question his self. The way the different incarnates diverge but yet get to hear about the current Bobs and add to it. Then there are the multiple plots on all the different colonies, whether earthling or not, along with the ongoing confrontation with the Others and Maderos (the Brazilian ship). There is a lot but most is not too involved for too long in controversy or war, which makes the plots move along. Really this should have been a duology with this and the 3rd being together. I'm almost done with the 3rd. It would have been a longer book but the 2nd book just pretty much drops in the middle of the plots, mostly and in the middle of war.

You must read the first in the series to understand this one. The first pretty much can stand on its own but this one needs the 3rd. It has a lot of things furthering Bobiverse and the Bobs and the colonies. Very engaging and would be a 5 if not for the cliffhanger. Went straight to the 3rd
