In a sense, almost nothing happens in the book. A man get a dog and walking it he discovers parts of his neighbourhood that were new to him. But it is not without a plot and also everything happens. The dog brings him into contact with people he would never have met, and that has a strong and irreversible effect on him. He forms new friendships with people he would never even have noticed and discovered things about himself and Paris that he didn't know before.

The book was a give-away from my local library, as part of the wonderful annual 'Nederland Leest' campaign.
