The story is far fetched, not believable at all. But that doesn't matter if you buy into it. The writing is mesmerizing which makes the book feel like a fairy tale sometimes.

That being said, I didn't really enjoy most of the characters. Lilia is some kind of manic pixie dream girl and Eli has no characteristics beside his obsession with Lilia.
