Review of 'Wicked Saints' on 'Storygraph'

5 stars

Holy saints and gods, this book exceeded ALL of my expectations!

The intricate world and the vivid visuals make this book really stand out in my mind, and the cover with the white and blue, and the cathedral, and the dripping blood is such a beautiful representation of the story.

The absolute best part of this story for me was the realistic way the relationship is portrayed, the way that you can have feelings for someone that you can't absolutely trust, and sometimes don't even like. But that draw doesn't fall away, it's all there still and it reminded me of my real life relationships. Some of the parts between them reminded me soooo much of when I get mad at my husband and he acts more affectionate to try to get me to forgive him. When someone you love does something to break your trust, it doesn't stop you loving them, and the realness of the relationship/s in this book just made it feel so real and good.

Seriously one of my favorite books this year, and maybe ever. SO. GOOD.
