not my fave gh novel, but who knows- i may grow to love it more with a re-read or two (that seems to happen a lot for me with ns books).

i really liked the build-up. i'd much rather have a slow (but it didn't drag and get boring- this one simmered if that makes any sense) romance rather than a bang, i love you. they waited because naasir refused to go against her vows and do anything before he found the grimoire, and i found that it made everything more intense. though i do have to say i think i liked the build-up more than the actual boom.

random tidbits:
if you like jason, he's in here a lot. no mahiya (boooooooo, i love them together). and i was kind of surprised that janvier/ash weren't in here much, because i thought they were very close with naasir, and because naasir mentions that they (unlike most people) understand him.

not a huge fan of the epilogue. though it was interesting and definitely important, it felt more like a setup for the next novel rather than closure for this one, and i was offended on naasir/andromeda's behalf. i had to go back and re-read the last chapter afterwards.
