Review of "H.P. Lovecraft's the Call of Cthulhu for Beginning Readers" on 'Goodreads'

3 stars

I had to read this at some point - now this is done. I played a few Cthulhu boardgames (Elder Sign, Arkham Horror, Mansions of Madness), and, well, I wasn't lost reading Call of Cthulhu. It's the story of the link-making between a number of a priori independent events: nightmares, a New Orleans cult, a boat wreck in the Pacific. The revelation of Cthulhu existence and of its waking up is built little by little. Worth reading, if only from a cultural point of view.
