In The Landry News, Clements shows a clear belief that free speech is good, but should be used wisely. In the beginning, Cara learns to tell the truth, but to mix in some mercy. As the book progresses, she sees how important it is that people can state their opinions without restriction, and also has to face a threat to the free speech in her own newspaper, The Landry News. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone. It has an important message that applies to all people, whether adults or kids.
