I think that I gave it 4 stars for all of the high-level concepts that are explored but I take one star off, due to my not really connecting with the rhythm and grimmer. I suspect this ding is due to the translator. I understand that there is a newer translation that may flow better and I have added that version to my long to-read queue.

That being said, I really enjoyed the concepts discussed and the overall story. It is obvious that Orwell borrowed heavily from this for his 1984. I will be pondering on this one for a while.
