I was glad to read another Expanse novel after a couple years wait. It did feel a bit like the Simpsons Star Trek parody, "so very tired"…"Again with the Klingons". I don't find Duarte as a villain interesting. Even Mau in the earlier books was a villain of convenience so this just feels forced. The unknown as antagonist was more scary and more interesting.
