This is like... volume 0 of a series. It's a bunch of setup that doesn't establish much, and at the end nothing really happens but there's clearly a story after it ends. 

I'm not sure how much I liked the colouring in this volume; I didn't feel like popping relatively mute colours against the black and white had much effect, and the coloured bits didn't always seem like they indicated anything.

Generally this was basically alright, but it feels more like a good idea than a good comic.
